The Opportunity:
Enel X has a need for a Data Operations Associate to join our world-class Operations organization. The mission of the Data Operations team is to provide support and expertise to strategically improve Enel X’s data health. The team is responsible for validating and monitoring customer’s energy data for many of Enel X’s product offerings and developing solutions to resolve the root causes of any data discrepancies or anomalies that are detected. Interval meter data is a critical input to most of our products including our Demand Response programs across North America. Our products are designed to help customers save on their utility bills and reduce their carbon footprint, transforming the way the world uses energy. The team is responsible for analyzing data both from our own hardware installed at facilities and with 3rd party data providers and utilities. Many of our tools are built and managed by our team in R, Python and Excel.
As a Data Operations Associate, you will demonstrate curiosity, creativity, innovation, and initiative to help ensure Enel X has accurate data to onboard new customers, settle financial commitments, maintain data health, and provide insight for our customers. You will become proficient Enel X’s core support and operational processes and will develop a deep understanding of the issues surrounding accurate metering solutions, our underlying data model, and the tools and systems that collect and process this information. Your core responsibilities will require you to find issues in these data and systems, escalate and mitigate them, and then work with the relevant teams to resolve the underlying problems.

What Enel North America Offers You:
The hiring range for this position is $60,800.00 - $91,200.00 per year. For remote positions, this is based on a national average base pay for this role. The actual range may vary based on the geographic location of the chosen candidate. The base pay actually offered will be based on several factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, work experience, education and internal equity. What You'll Do at Enel North America:
Responsibilities, include, but not limited to:
- Analyze and report business-critical data
- Identify and correct data quality issues within our Energy, Customer, and Financial platforms (Enel X application and CRM tools) with minimal oversight
- Initiate in-depth analysis of data quality issues and present trends independently to management
- Apply problem solving skills to your findings
- Identify opportunities to mitigate risk and structurally address root causes of problems
- Triage and resolve complex data quality issues while escalating issues to other members of the team
- Collaborate with other teams to determine efficient business solutions
- Apply technical skills to maintain and improve processes
- Leverage technical skills to develop UIs and web scrapers, as well as automate and scale internal processes where possible
- Understand Enel X’s data model
- Have a deep understanding of load meters, registrations, data streams, generators, and their typical performance profiles
- Understand how data is consumed by different teams at Enel X and collaborate with them to analyze the standards they must meet to ensure Enel X’s data is fit for its commercial purposes
- Evaluate the data model for areas of risk and implement cross-team solutions
- Achieve our internal operational commitments
- Maintain our internal service level agreements for validating new customer data, and monitoring and resolving customer data issues
- Possess a technical understanding of team tools and platforms
- Develop tools and reports that enable scalable and repeatable delivery of your analyses
- Develop additional skills to advanced core functions
- Design processes that are efficient and transferable to other team members
- Work with internal and external team members to execute and deliver on a project plan
- Communicate to internal and specifically external (non-expert) parties so that information is understood by all audiences
- Connect and communicate the financial impact of projects
- Demonstrated skills in statistics and data analysis, including a working knowledge of statistical tools (R, SQL, MATLAB, Python, etc.)
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to identify pain points and self-starter to initiate project plan for improvement
- Interest and ability for self-guided learning
- Ability to introduce new concepts into an existing process

- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative/analytical field (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Statistics) or another field with demonstrated ability to work with and derive insights from large amounts of data
