We are seeking an experienced Building Automation Technician with a strong background in Distech, Honeywell Niagara Tridium, and Johnson Controls Facility Explorer (FX) systems. This is a full-time opportunity for a motivated professional with a solid field service background in programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting of building automation systems (BAS) for commercial HVAC applications.

You will join a growing and skilled team dedicated to delivering high-quality, innovative BAS solutions across the region.

Position Title: Building Automation Technician

Location: Atlanta, GA 30340

Employment Type: Full-Time |

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 annually

Relocation Package: Up to $5,000 (based on distance)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, commission, and troubleshoot BAS systems including Distech, Niagara Tridium, and JCI FX platforms
  • Develop and implement custom Niagara logic and JCI FX controller configurations
  • Design and deploy intuitive, web-based BAS graphics and dashboards
  • Execute system startups, validate operations, and optimize control sequences
  • Integrate BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks communication protocols
  • Work closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to meet project goals
  • Perform on-site diagnostics and provide field technical support
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and control submittals
  • Maintain thorough documentation, including programming files and commissioning reports

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on BAS experience (programming and commissioning)
  • Proficient in Niagara Tridium (AX and N4), Distech Controls, and JCI FX Tool
  • Experience in BAS graphics development and creating user dashboards
  • Strong field experience: sensor calibration, loop tuning, system startups
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP networks, IP addressing, and integration protocols
  • Ability to read and interpret control drawings, wiring diagrams, and mechanical plans
  • Field service experience diagnosing BAS issues preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Niagara N4 certification, Distech certification, or experience with JCI FX Tool
  • Understanding of third-party system integration into Niagara
  • Knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment (AHUs, RTUs, VAVs, chilled/hot water systems)
  • Experience with low-voltage control wiring and electrical troubleshooting
