JOB TITLE: Product and Energy Program Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY
Emerson Swan is currently seeking a goal-oriented, self-motivated, & ambitious candidate to join our Business Development team. This role is ideal for an individual who combines technical aptitude with strong relationship-building skills and an interest in the energy sector.
This position plays a critical role in supporting product strategy, pricing, and market development, while also serving as a key liaison between Emerson Swan, utility partners, and the sales organization. This position supports the broader Emerson Swan Sales Team by enhancing product introductions, energy efficiency initiatives, and rebate program alignment.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working across teams and can develop strong relationships internally for efficient collaboration on projects. There is also an external focus to develop relationships with market influencers that consists of our manufacturing partners as well as our Utility partners to continue to enhance our company image.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Product & Technical Support
- Assist with evaluating new products, including technical and energy efficiency assessments
- Compare specifications, features, and benefits of Emerson Swan and competitive products
- Track and maintain technical documentation with a focus on energy-efficient solutions
Energy Sector & Utility Relationships
- Support and nurture relationships with utility personnel and energy program stakeholders
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of utility rebate programs and energy efficiency incentives
- Track, organize, and communicate rebate updates to internal teams and customers
- Assist in aligning product offerings with utility program requirements
Market Research & Pricing
- Gather market intelligence from Sales and industry sources to identify trends
- Assist with pricing strategy and update competitive pricing matrixes
- Support promotions, preseasons, and go-to-market initiatives
- Report insights to Management and manufacturing partners
Sales Tools & Product Rollouts
- Evaluate and develop sales tools that help customers quickly understand product value and efficiency benefits
- Assist with new product rollouts, enhancing product introductions with clear, concise messaging
- Translate manufacturer materials into brief bullet points for easier understanding.
- Develop technical cross-references and feature/benefit comparisons
Collaboration & Information Management
- Work closely with outside sales, manufacturers, utility contacts, and the Business Development team
- Maintain, organize, and archive information on the Share Drive
- Support special projects as assigned
Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Requirements
- BS/BA preferred or equivalent relevant work experience
- Knowledge of the plumbing, heating, HVAC, and/or energy efficiency sector preferred
- Strong technical aptitude with curiosity and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships, including utility partners
- Solution-oriented, flexible team player
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Sales experience preferred, but not required
