About the Role:
The role requires the individual to assess environmental problems in the air quality and GHG accounting and provide appropriate technical solutions. The role involves working across the entire project lifecycle, including providing support in defining the methodology, performing emission estimation, design calculations, data interpretation and dispersion modelling. The role also includes conducting and supporting site visits, performing air monitoring and analysis, and preparing technical reports. The candidate will gain practical, hands-on exposure by contributing to real-time consultancy projects across various private (industrial) and government projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Problem identification and solutioning, based on project requirement
- Prepare methodology and conduct on site visits, field data collection, and data analysis
- Prepare emission inventories for air pollutants and GHG emissions
- Perform design calculations for air pollution control systems
- Perform ambient air monitoring, VOC sampling and lab analysis
- Support technical studies, report writing, and client presentations
- Work in collaboration with other project team members
- Adhere to project timelines and deliver targeted results
Required Qualification:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering / Environmental Management/ Chemical Engineering or any other relevant qualification
- 3–5 years of relevant experience (air quality, emission control, GHG accounting or industrial experience)
- Basic understanding of VOC sampling, stack/ambient air monitoring, testing and lab analysis will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and software (such as AERMOD, LCA, GIS, etc.)
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience or exposure to industrial projects involving emission inventory, air pollution control systems, odour and VOC management
