As a growing company, we are committed to delivering exceptional quality and service to our clients, and we are seeking a Fleet Mechanic (Diesel/Trailer/Bus) to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are searching for an experienced Fleet Mechanic (Diesel/Trailer/Bus) to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair buses, generators and tow vehicles supporting our fleet of solar and battery-powered trailers. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our fleet is in excellent working condition, meeting the specific power and technical requirements of our clients in the film and television industry. You will work closely with our operations team and collaborate with our maintenance team to deliver top-notch service and support to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on buses, diesel generators and tow vehicles ensuring their optimal functionality and performance
• Track maintenance timelines and record hours/mileage when projects are completed
• Perform in the field fixes as well as maintenance of generators and vehicles currently on rent to customers
• When not working on diesel applications, assist the maintenance team with diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and hydraulic systems, identifying and resolving any issues or malfunctions
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns from clients regarding trailer functionality and technical specifications

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding diesel engines and generators with 2+ years of experience as a mechanic or similar 
• Methodical and pragmatic approach to diagnosing and repairing issues
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Willingness to work outside in varying weather conditions year-round

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license required
• CDL preferred but not required
• Willingness to operate a company service vehicle in and around NYC and travel as needed to location for repairs
• Willingness to take on call fixes outside of regular business hours

Location:

• Primary work location: Newark, NJ
• Secondary work location: Greenpoint, BK
• On-Set locations are generally in a 30 miles radius from Columbus Circle, NYC though further travel may be necessary

Compensation & Benefits:

• $80,000 - $100,000 per year (combining regular & OT hourly pay)
• 5 vacation / 5 personal days per year + paid holidays
