Our client are looking for a Product Manager to own the full lifecycle of a range of PV products and inverters, from concept through to launch, iteration, and end-of-life. You'll work cross-functionally with R&D, marketing, and operations, and externally with roofers, housebuilders, and installers, to make sure our products meet market needs, regulatory standards, and our benchmark for design and durability.

This is a key hire as demand for roof-integrated solar accelerates, driven by evolving building regulations — and you'll be the go-to expert on the product range internally and externally.

About the Role

What you'll be doing:

  • Gathering market insight — competitor analysis, customer feedback, emerging trends in solar, roofing, and construction standards
  • Translating customer and market needs into product requirements, working closely with R&D and engineering
  • Defining and evolving product vision, roadmap, and positioning for Solar PV and Inverter — and future innovations
  • Producing technical content — guides, white papers, FAQs, datasheets, installation manuals
  • Advising on pricing strategy and maintaining price lists
  • Representing the business and influencing industry standards through MCS, Future Homes Hub, Solar Energy UK, NFRC, and NHBC working groups

Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years' product management experience in renewable energy, construction, building products, or electrical engineering
  • Technical degree or equivalent, with strong technical aptitude — comfortable with construction detail, installation methods, and safety requirements
  • A clear, persuasive communicator, confident representing the business externally
  • Based in the UK; solar experience is a plus but not essential — training provided
  • German language skills advantageous
