Mechanical Project Manager - Contract Position (HVAC / Mechanical Construction)

Join our team as a Mechanical Construction Project Manager supporting a high-profile advanced manufacturing and biomedical facility project in Boise, Idaho. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of complex mechanical construction scopes, including HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systems. You will lead cross-functional teams spanning engineering, fabrication, field operations, and project controls while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

  • Review mechanical system designs and specifications to ensure constructability, scope clarity, and cost alignment.

  • Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve design issues and constructability concerns.

  • Plan, organize, and schedule field labor and fabrication activities to support project milestones.

  • Track, forecast, and report labor productivity, material costs, and overall project financials.

  • Maintain working knowledge of project contracts, drawings, and specifications.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety programs, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

  • Communicate proactively and professionally with all project stakeholders.

  • Mentor and support Project Engineers and Project Coordinators.

Essential Skills

    • Minimum 1+ year experience as a Mechanical Technician.

    • Strong technical understanding of mechanical construction including HVAC systems, plumbing, and process piping.

    • OSHA-30 Certified

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract Based onsite role supporting a large biomedical HVAC construction project in Boise, Idaho. The position typically requires a 50-hour work week with additional hours as required to support project milestones. The role provides exposure to complex mechanical systems and a fast-paced construction environment.
