Job Description

About the Internship

Elements Energy, in collaboration with SBPDCL (South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited) and AEEE (Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy), is seeking enthusiastic Energy Analyst Interns to support the implementation of a Demand Response Program in Bihar.

This internship offers hands-on exposure to energy analytics, consumer load assessment, demand-side management, utility operations, and data-driven decision-making. Interns will work closely with industry experts, utility officials, and commercial & industrial consumers to support one of India's emerging Demand Response initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Energy Data Analysis

  • Analyze electricity consumption data and identify usage trends.
  • Assist in evaluating consumer load profiles and peak demand patterns.
  • Support demand response assessments and identify energy-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare analytical reports and performance summaries.

Field Assessment & Consumer Engagement

  • Visit commercial and industrial consumer facilities.
  • Collect information on connected loads, operating schedules, and energy consumption.
  • Conduct structured surveys and validate collected data.
  • Identify consumers suitable for Demand Response participation.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Organize and maintain energy datasets.
  • Prepare dashboards, presentations, and project documentation.
  • Support data validation and quality assurance activities.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate with utility officials, project partners, and consumers.
  • Participate in workshops, review meetings, and awareness programs.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the project team.

Eligibility

Candidates pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in any of the following are encouraged to apply:

  • Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE)
  • Electrical Engineering

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Renewable Energy
  • Environmental Engineering
  • MBA (Energy, Operations, Sustainability, Analytics)
  • M.Tech/MS in Energy or related disciplines

Skills Required

  • Basic understanding of power systems and electricity consumption.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency and demand-side management concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI or data visualization tools is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and report-writing skills.
  • Willingness to travel within Patna and nearby areas for field assessments.
