Location: Denver, Hybrid in-office, must be based locally.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 Base + Benefits

Industry: Building Analytics | Energy Management Systems (EMS) | HVAC Optimisation

We’re partnered with a climate-tech scale-up that's scaling its US team in Denver. The company’s building analytics and energy management platform helps owners, operators, and engineering partners improve HVAC performance, reduce energy waste, and accelerate progress toward net zero emissions across commercial real estate portfolios.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role for someone with 2–5 years of HVAC and BMS experience who wants to move beyond reactive “firefighting” into outcomes-driven building performance work, using high-quality operational data and modern SaaS tooling. You’ll work directly with advanced building analytics, high-quality operational data, and leading engineering firms to improve performance outcomes across complex portfolios.

Why join

  • Work at the intersection of HVAC systems, building management systems (BMS), and real-time building analytics
  • Join a foundation team in the US as the Denver hub scales
  • Partner closely with leading engineering firms and portfolio operators across offices, retail, airports, and complex commercial sites
  • Build a career path that blends building engineering credibility with customer success, platform adoption, and measurable outcomes
  • Contribute directly to decarbonisation by improving building operational efficiency and reducing emissions

What you will do

You will work alongside a Customer Success Manager and own the technical side of customer success for a set of accounts, with a focus on adoption, results, and long-term retention.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead technical customer success for commercial building clients and engineering partners, from pilot through portfolio rollout
  • Support onboarding and commissioning by partnering with integrations and onboarding teams
  • Become a trusted technical advisor to facilities and engineering teams using the platform for HVAC optimisation and operational performance
  • Use the platform to monitor equipment, diagnose issues across HVAC and BMS, and help drive resolution with site teams and contractors
  • Deliver training and ongoing enablement to drive adoption across multiple stakeholders (facilities, engineering, sustainability, procurement)
  • Produce practical outputs such as energy analysis, indoor environmental quality insights, and equipment health reporting
  • Run a consistent engagement cadence, including on-site visits, virtual reviews, and performance check-ins
  • Capture product feedback from the field and communicate it back to internal product and engineering teams
  • Support retention and growth by helping articulate value delivered and identifying expansion opportunities in partnership with the CSM

What we are looking for

Required:

  • 2–5 years of experience in HVAC, building services, controls, commissioning, building operations, or mechanical services
  • Solid exposure to BMS and building systems (controls, BAS, mechanical plant, or equivalent)
  • Comfortable in a customer-facing role where communication, credibility, and follow-through matter
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical findings clearly
  • Willingness to travel to client sites within the US (driver’s licence required)
  • Able to work autonomously, manage priorities, and operate well in a fast-paced environment
  • Authorised to work in the USA without sponsorship

Nice to have:

  • Experience with building analytics, energy analysis, or M&V-style thinking
  • Familiarity with LEED, WELL, GRESB, or similar frameworks
  • Experience supporting account growth by quantifying outcomes and articulating value

Location and travel

  • Denver, Colorado (Hybrid In Office)
  • Travel to customer sites is part of the role

Who this suits

You may be a strong fit if you have come from a controls firm, commissioning role, mechanical service background, or building performance position, and you want to apply your HVAC and BMS knowledge in a customer success engineer role inside a high-growth SaaS and climate tech environment.

If you are motivated by measurable outcomes, enjoy working directly with building operators and engineering partners, and want your work to translate into better building performance and lower emissions, apply to be considered.
