Senior Relationship Manager

A growing climate-tech business working across heat networks, renewable energy, and utilities infrastructure is looking for a Senior Client Relationship Manager to lead strategic relationships across enterprise and public-sector accounts.


This role is ideal for someone with experience in district heating, heat networks, energy services, utilities, or wider renewable energy infrastructure. SaaS experience is a bonus, but not essential.

This is a high-impact role focused on client success, retention, operational performance, and account growth. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders while acting as the voice of the customer internally across product, operations, and commercial teams.


What you’ll be doing

? Managing and growing relationships with strategic clients across heat networks, utilities, local authorities, and energy providers

⚡ Driving adoption of platforms supporting energy efficiency, heat metering, billing, and operational optimisation

? Acting as the senior escalation point for client issues in complex utility and infrastructure environments

? Identifying and delivering upsell opportunities across services, energy solutions, and SaaS products

? Supporting onboarding, contract delivery, compliance, and billing processes within regulated environments

? Collaborating cross-functionally with product and technical teams to improve service delivery and platform performance

? Maintaining accurate CRM pipelines, forecasting, and quotations

? Leading and mentoring a junior Client Relationship Manager


What we’re looking for

?️ At least 5 years' experience in utilities, energy, heat networks, district heating, renewable energy, or infrastructure services

? Experience managing senior stakeholders across enterprise or public-sector organisations

? Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail

❄️ Calm under pressure and confident handling competing priorities

? Commercial mindset with experience identifying growth opportunities

? Strong spreadsheet and data-handling capability

?️ Experience working with local authorities, housing associations, or energy services organisations is highly desirable


Nice to have

? Experience with heat network operations, energy management systems, or utility billing platforms

? Contract management experience

? Experience in fast-paced scale-up, climate-tech, or technology environments (SaaS experience a bonus)
