The Team

EirGrid has developed an ambitious Business Strategy to respond to the unprecedented level of change and opportunity in the electricity industry. Our Purpose is to Transform the Power System for Future Generations, and our primary goal is to collaborate with the Island’s Electricity Sector on Sustainability and Decarbonisation.

The role of the Chief Transformation and Technology Office (CTTO) is to vision, lead, transform, digitise, and deliver a transformational capability that enables Ireland’s power system and market to meet the targets for 2030 and beyond.

The Opportunity

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Lead Analyst who will report to the Head of Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management, to join EirGrid. As the Continuous Improvement Senior Analyst, you will sit at the heart of tehnology transformation in a customer centric role serving the business functions of EirGrid Group.

You Will Work Within a Multidisciplinary Team Responsible For

  • Collaborate across CTTOO to map, analyse, and redesign processes that support digital, data-driven transformation.
  • Lead high-impact improvement projects from identification to implementation and sustainment.
  • Use data analysis and visualization tools to identify opportunities, measure impact, and report insights.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of improvement initiatives, tracking progress and ensuring sustainability.
  • Drive automation, digital workflows, and AI/ML solutions for scalable improvements.
  • Aligned with EirGrid’s strategic goals, we will look to you, as Continuous Improvement Senior Analyst, to drive delivery excellence by leading process improvements, enabling data-driven decision-making, and championing transformation across CTTOO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across CTTOO business units and cross-functional teams to map, analyse, and redesign end-to-end processes, focusing on supporting the transformation of Ireland’s power system and enabling digital, data-driven operations.
  • Lead and manage high-impact improvement projects aligned with CTTOO’s roadmap—from opportunity identification through to implementation and sustainment—including developing business cases, assembling multidisciplinary teams, tracking progress, measuring benefits, and ensuring long-term adoption of new ways of working.
  • Leverage advanced data analysis, dashboards, and visualisation tools to identify and prioritise improvement opportunities, quantify impact, monitor performance, and deliver actionable insights to CTTOO function.
  • Build and maintain a transparent, dynamic pipeline (“register”) of continuous improvement and transformation initiatives for CTTOO, tracking status, ensuring closure, and sustaining realised benefits.
  • Support junior analysts and colleagues across CTTOO, contributing to the development of continuous improvement skills, tools, and standard methodologies throughout the organisation.
  • Ensure all improvement initiatives are aligned with EirGrid’s strategic goals, CTTOO’s transformation objectives, and relevant governance frameworks.
  • Ensure robust documentation of current and future state process maps, SOPs, control plans, and maintain CTTOO’s knowledge management systems to support ongoing learning and compliance.
  • Proactively explore and implement opportunities for automation, digital workflows, and AI/ML solutions to drive scalable, sustainable improvements across CTTOO’s remit.

Essential

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Engineering, Operations Management or related field) or equivalent work experience.
  • Significant experience (typically 5+ years) in a continuous improvement, process excellence, operations analysis, or similar role; experience at a senior/lead level preferred.
  • Proven track record of delivering process improvement projects with measurable impact (e.g., cost savings, cycle time reduction, quality improvement).
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to work with data sets, draw insights, build dashboards/reports, use statistical or business intelligence tools.
  • Experience with improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen.
  • Strong project management, organisational and prioritisation skills; able to manage multiple improvement initiatives simultaneously.
  • Change-oriented mindset, comfortable with ambiguity, able to drive cultural and behavioural change.
  • Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio), advanced Excel, presentation tools; business intelligence tools (tableau, Power BI, Looker) or SQL skills a plus.

Desirable

  • Experience working in complex, regulated, or public sector environments (e.g., energy, utilities, infrastructure) and advantage but not a requirement
  • Six Sigma certification or equivalent
  • Experience in automation, digital transformation, AI/ML, or workflow tools.
  • Change management certification (e.g., Prosci) or experience delivering improvement training programs.
