The Opportunity

We are now seeking a Head of Offshore Delivery - East Coast to join the Chief Transformation, Technology & Offshore Office.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Transformation, Technology & Offshore Officer and be a member of EirGrid’s extended leadership team. As Head of Offshore Delivery - East Coast, you will play a pivotal role in delivering Ireland’s offshore wind targets by 2030 and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of the Offshore Asset Readiness Programme (OARP -
  • Oversee the integration of 30 capability programmes across engineering, IT, legal, operations, and commercial functions.
  • Manage dependencies and critical path activities informed by the forerunner Phase 1 development.
  • Ensure readiness for asset transfer, ownership, and operation of offshore transmission infrastructure.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the Asset Purchase Agreement (APA) and Transmission Connection Agreement (TCA).
  • Drive programme governance, risk management, and reporting in line with the CRU’s Offshore Revenue Model.
  • Engage with stakeholders including CRU, DCEE, and developers to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Support the development of procurement strategies, including IT systems, marine surveys, and operational services.

The Team

The Chief Technology and Transformation and Offshore Office is responsible for driving the Offshore Grid programme, driving innovation, digital transformation, and strategic technology delivery across EirGrid. It plays a central role in enabling the organisation to meet its decarbonisation and infrastructure goals through the deployment of modern systems, data intelligence, and programme governance frameworks.

The Offshore Delivery – East Coast Team is responsible for providing strategic oversight and delivery across the East Coast offshore projects and the Offshore Asset Readiness Programme (OARP)—a multi-year transformation programme spanning 30 capability areas. It ensures alignment with the CRU’s Offshore Revenue Model and supports EirGrid’s regulatory, operational, and financial readiness.

About You

Successful candidates will have:

  • Proven experience in leading large-scale offshore infrastructure or transformation programmes, ideally in energy, utilities, or regulated sectors.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, particularly in capital programme governance and revenue models.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex programme interdependencies and critical path planning.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement with government, regulators, and industry partners.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
  • Familiarity with risk management, procurement, and operational readiness in a regulated environment.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and external consultants.
  • Financial acumen, including budget oversight and funding strategy alignment.
