Field Technician - Connected Electric Trucks

In this position, you will be working with connected electric heavy trucks (CETs) in close cooperation with different suppliers, service providers and partners, as well as a team of highly experienced and qualified experts within the different relevant fields of operation offering a wide spectrum of tools and services to enable electric operation.

As a key player in the success of our operations you will be overlooking the Einride fleet of connected electric trucks and their operation to suit our customers' needs. You will implement the right routines to prevent issues and maximize uptime, and you will drive complex technical issues to its resolution. The fleet includes a wide variety of electric trucks, trailers and electric cooling units, all under the supervision of the Hardware Operations team, which you will be a part of.

Responsibilities

  • Preventively identify quality issues of the trucks and follow up their resolution with OEMs and local workshops
  • Detect system deviations and fault trace trucks with help of Einride’s data-based tools (telematics data, charging data, battery management system data, etc)
  • Follow up on quality issues, repairs, campaigns or other situations that may cause downtime to ensure a prompt implementation and resolution
  • Provide support on-site to the daily operations team and the operational partners
  • Deployment of new trucks including: registration, insurance, service contracts, practical issues, etc
  • Use Einride’s tools to provide KPI’s of the complete fleet to be presented to the different stakeholders
  • Contribute to create and improve processes and ways of working
  • Support with the development of Einrides’ operational partners (driver training, etc.)
  • Support other functions within the organization with technical expertise

Qualifications

  • Technical background within the automotive industry with good understanding of electric vehicles and preferably also chargers
  • Ability to use office tools such as MS Office, Google apps, etc.
  • Experience working with trucks and knowledge of the transport industry meritorious
  • CE-license meritorious
  • Possibility to travel frequently
  • Flexible, independent & hands on at different levels
  • Takes clear ownership of tasks
  • Fluent in German & English
  • Excellent social and negotiation skills
