Indigenous Land Partnerships
Company Description EigenCarbon is a tokenized carbon credit platform that creates verifiable, fungible carbon assets designed to integrate with institutional finance. Each EigenCarbon (EC) token represents 1kg of measured CO₂ abatement for a specific vintage year, with credits issued transparently on Ethereum. The project combines on-chain transparency with rigorous off-chain verification to ensure high-integrity climate impact and alignment with ESG and net-zero goals. EigenCarbon’s model rewards Indigenous communities and land stewards who protect ecosystems, providing global liquidity and market pricing through platforms like Uniswap. The team is building innovative tools, including roll contracts for vintages, to support corporates and traders in scalable, credible climate action within the regenerative finance movement.
Role Description This is a remote, contract role focused on building and supporting Indigenous Land Partnerships for EigenCarbon. The role involves identifying and engaging Indigenous communities and land stewards whose practices generate high-quality carbon abatement, and co-developing partnership frameworks that are respectful, transparent, and mutually beneficial. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting outreach, hosting virtual meetings, and maintaining ongoing relationships with partners, as well as coordinating information needed for verification, documentation, and issuance of EC tokens. The position requires close collaboration with internal teams to align community needs with project design, ensure accurate representation of land-based practices, and advocate for fair, equitable benefit-sharing. The role also includes monitoring partnership performance, gathering feedback from partners, and contributing to long-term strategies that strengthen Indigenous-led climate solutions within EigenCarbon’s ecosystem.
