Company Description EigenCarbon is a tokenized carbon infrastructure project focused on creating verifiable, fungible carbon assets that integrate seamlessly with institutional finance. The platform issues EC tokens on Ethereum, each representing 1kg of measured and verified CO₂ abatement for a specific vintage year, enabling transparent, traceable, and globally tradeable carbon credits. By combining on-chain transparency with rigorous off-chain verification, EigenCarbon channels capital to high-integrity climate abatement projects and supports Indigenous communities and land stewards who protect ecosystems. EC tokens are tradeable on Uniswap, with on-chain burn mechanisms that make issuance transparent and irrefutable, and upcoming roll contracts will offer ultra-low-cost vintage transitions for corporates and traders. EigenCarbon aligns with ESG standards and net‑zero goals, positioning itself at the forefront of regenerative finance and credible climate action.
Role Description The Carbon Research Director is a remote, contract role responsible for leading EigenCarbon’s research agenda across carbon markets, methodologies, and impact measurement. This role oversees the design and execution of research projects that assess the integrity, performance, and risk profiles of carbon abatement initiatives integrated into the EigenCarbon ecosystem. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting in-depth market and policy analysis, developing research frameworks for vintage evaluation, and collaborating with technical, product, and finance teams to translate findings into platform features and token standards. The Carbon Research Director will synthesize data into clear reports, whitepapers, and decision-ready insights for internal stakeholders, partners, and institutional clients, ensuring that EigenCarbon’s credits remain transparent, credible, and aligned with evolving ESG and regulatory requirements. The role also involves building external research partnerships, staying ahead of developments in carbon accounting and verification, and contributing to thought leadership within regenerative finance.
