As a Founding Engineer, youll join our core technical team and lead development of our electrochemical systems for next-generation mineral and lithium extraction. Youll play a key role in scaling EELIs breakthrough technology from lab-scale to pilot deployment and help shape the future of lithium supply. Day-to-day tasks will include conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing electrochemical data, collaborating with cross-functional teams to scale processes, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards. Design and advance electrochemical systems for mineral and lithium recovery, ranging from benchtop prototypes to scalable platforms. Lead and own hands-on laboratory and pilot-scale experimentation, including setup, execution, data collection, troubleshooting, and iterative improvement. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to connect core electrochemical modules with upstream and downstream processes for deployment. Contribute to strategy and knowledge building, including intellectual property, technical documentation, and technology transfer as we move from lab to field. PhD or MS + 3+ years, or BS + 8+ years of hands-on experimental experience in electrochemistry, electrochemical engineering, or closely related fields.
