Scope of Position We are seeking dedicated technicians ranging from entry‐level Technician 2 to expert Technician 5 to perform maintenance, repair, and operational activities on utility‐scale renewable energy assets, including wind turbines, photovoltaic (PV) power systems, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Candidates will be placed at the level commensurate with their experience, qualifications, and successful completion of internal competency standards. Training: Each Renewable Energy Technician will attend a mandatory 3‐4 week training and certification course at the start of employment, conducted in Albert Lea, MN. Travel, accommodation, and expenses will be provided. Site locations: Hart Solar – 1642 W Polk Rd., Hart, MI 49420; Lake Iris – 6343 Kilgore Rd., Greenwood, MI 48006. Responsibilities Adhere to all safety protocols, including LOTO (Lock‐out/Tag‐out) procedures, and lead site safety assessments. Maintain company property and equipment safely and responsibly. Accurately complete all administrative work, including daily maintenance logs, work orders, time tracking, and warranty/inventory documentation. Attend all required safety and technical training. Maintain the highest level of system integrity and support site budget control by seeking efficiencies. Participate in a 24/7 on‐call rotation for system monitoring and fault identification (Technician levels 2‐5). Act fiscally responsible on the company's behalf at all levels. Technician Levels All technicians share a commitment to safety, operational excellence, and asset integrity. Technician 1 (Entry‐Level) – Assists experienced technicians with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs; focuses on learning and applying safety protocols; works under specific direction and direct supervision. Technician 2 (Experienced) – Performs preventative maintenance independently, routine troubleshooting, repairs, and minor upgrades; participates in the 24‐hour "On Call" rotation. Technician 3 (Senior) – Performs unsupervised routine and corrective maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, and leads teams on routine tasks; may train and oversee Techs 1 & 2. Technician 4 (Expert/Lead) – Performs unsupervised advanced corrective and preventative maintenance and leads major repairs; acts as subject‐matter expert (SME); trains and signs off on the competency of Techs 1‐3; assists with overseeing site crews/contractors in manager absence. Technician 5 (Expert/Lead) – Performs unsupervised advanced corrective and preventative maintenance and leads major repairs; acts as subject‐matter expert (SME); trains and signs off on the competency of Techs 1‐3; assists with overseeing site crews/contractors in manager absence. Qualifications Tech 1 (Entry) Experience: 0‐1 year in renewable energy or equivalent field. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge & Skills: Basic computer knowledge; ability to follow instructions; basic knowledge of schematics, meter use, electrical/mechanical components. Certifications: Qualified Electrical Worker standards and competency in system software and industry standards. License: Valid driver's license. Tech 2 (Experienced) Experience: 1‐2 years in renewable energy or similar discipline. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge & Skills: Basic knowledge of schematics, meter use, electrical/mechanical components; advanced knowledge of electrical safety, arc flash standards, and NEC; proficiency with advanced diagnostic tools. Certifications: Qualified Electrical Worker standards and competency in system software and industry standards. License: Valid driver's license. Tech 3 (Senior) Experience: 2+ years renewable energy experience. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge & Skills: Deep competency in generation theory; advanced knowledge of NEC and OSHA regulations; advanced diagnostic tools; ability to coach, instruct, and train less experienced technicians. Certifications: Qualified Electrical Worker standards and competency in system software and industry standards. License: Valid driver's license. Tech 4 (Expert/Lead) Experience: 2‐4 years of renewable energy experience. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge & Skills: Advanced knowledge of wind/solar industry best practices; ability to coach, instruct, and train less experienced technicians; working knowledge of NEC and OSHA regulations. Certifications: Qualified Electrical Worker standards and competency in system software and industry standards. License: Valid driver's license. Tech 5 (Expert/Lead) Experience: Minimum 5 years of renewable energy experience. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge & Skills: Same as Tech 4 but higher proficiency. Certifications: Qualified Electrical Worker standards and competency in system software and industry standards. License: Valid driver's license. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Field work: Primarily in the renewable asset field for Techs 1‐3; Tech 4 may spend approximately 20% of time in the office. Work at height: Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and structures to heights of over 300 feet (91 meters) and work in confined spaces. Conditions: Comfortable working in extreme weather (heat, cold, wind, rain) and in an electrical‐mechanical environment with high voltage/stored energy. Lifting: Ability to regularly lift up to 35 pounds and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Safety restriction (wind only): Maximum employee weight must not exceed 285 lbs due to fall‐arrest equipment weight restrictions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
