Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager with strong ESG sales experience to lead and drive EcoRatings’ business growth. The candidate must have hands-on expertise in selling ESG, sustainability, or climate-tech solutions. This role requires ownership of the entire sales cycle—from prospecting to deal closure—while building long-term strategic relationships with enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end sales efforts for EcoRatings’ sustainability and ESG solutions.
- Identify, qualify, and convert enterprise prospects within targeted sectors.
- Develop sales strategies and pipelines aligned with company goals.
- Conduct product demos, present ESG value propositions, and handle client objections effectively.
- Work closely with internal teams (Lead Generation) to deliver customized solutions.
- Manage CRM pipelines, forecast revenue, and track KPIs with accuracy.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and identify upselling/cross-selling opportunities.
- Stay updated on ESG regulations, sustainability frameworks (ESG, GRI, BRSR, CDP, CSRD), and market trends.
- Represent EcoRatings at conferences, client meetings, and industry events.
- Prepare proposals, commercial quotes, and negotiation documents.
Mandatory Requirements
- 7–8 years of total sales experience, including minimum 4+ years in ESG, sustainability, climate-tech, or impact-driven SaaS sales.
- Proven track record of closing enterprise or mid-market deals.
- Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, sustainability reporting, and supply-chain compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work onsite and travel for client meetings when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling SaaS or data-driven solutions.
- Network within sustainability, compliance, or procurement domains.
- MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sustainability, or related fields.
