Sustainability Engineer

Role Description This full-time Sustainability Engineer role is based in Jaipur in a hybrid work arrangement, combining onsite collaboration with some flexibility for work from home. The Sustainability Engineer will support green building certification projects by performing energy and water analyses, reviewing designs, and preparing documentation for systems such as LEED, IGBC, GRIHA, and related frameworks. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting carbon and environmental footprint assessments, contributing to ECBC and other compliance studies, and assisting with renewable energy integration, including solar PV engineering and performance modeling. The role also involves collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams, preparing technical reports and presentations for clients, and supporting ESG-related data collection and reporting activities. The Sustainability Engineer is expected to participate in internal knowledge-sharing, training sessions, and continuous improvement of EcoNXT’s methodologies and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end certification documentation and facilitation for LEED, IGBC, and GRIHA projects.
• Perform building energy modeling, daylight calculations, and indoor environmental quality (IAQ) evaluations.
• Conduct ASHRAE-aligned energy audits and water/waste efficiency assessments for commercial and industrial facilities.
• Coordinate directly with GBCI, IGBC, and TERI/GRIHA representatives to submit documentation and manage technical reviews.
• Work closely with client facility management teams to implement sustainable policies and operational best practices.

Requirements & Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience managing green building projects.
• Strong familiarity with rating systems: LEED BD+C/O+M, IGBC Existing/New Buildings, and GRIHA.
• Credentials like LEED AP (BD+C or O+M) or IGBC AP are highly preferred.
• Proficiency in technical calculation tools, energy simulation software (e.g., eQUEST, EnergyPlus), and MS Office.
• Excellent technical writing, data analysis, and client communication skills.
