ecojiva LLC seeks designers/engineers to support our solar projects system design functions. Provide electrical power and controls designs for solar, power distribution, and lighting projects. Work with senior electrical staff in the delivery of quality technical work and projects to the client. Function in a multi-discipline project team environment to deliver quality design projects and technical reports on assigned projects. The successful candidate will use his/her knowledge of the National Electric Code and solar PV design concepts. Selected candidate will be held accountable for completion of assignments to the high standards of ecojiva.

Position Overview
We are seeking a Building Automation Specialist with expertise in energy efficiency and AI-driven optimization. In this role, you’ll design, program, and enhance intelligent building systems that manage HVAC, lighting, security, and other key functions using modern analytics and automation to create high-performing, sustainable environments.
This position is ideal for someone who is both technically strong and passionate about innovation in building performance and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and program Building Automation Systems (BAS) to optimize facility performance.
- Integrate machine learning and AI models for predictive maintenance, energy forecasting, and smart control strategies.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and architects to understand facility requirements and translate them into automated control solutions.
- Perform commissioning, calibration, and verification of automation systems.
- Monitor and analyze energy data to identify savings opportunities and improve system efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, BACnet, and relevant building standards.
- Troubleshoot system issues and implement software or hardware updates.
- Provide client training and documentation on system operation and optimization.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years’ experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls, or Energy Management Systems (EMS).
- Strong understanding of HVAC, lighting, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency with one or more of the following:
- BAS platforms (e.g., Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, etc.)
- Programming and scripting (Python, C++, SQL, or similar)
- Data analytics or ML frameworks (TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, etc.)
- Familiarity with energy efficiency programs, rebates, or performance contracting is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently or collaboratively.

Qualifications
Electrical I Control Systems Engineering degree.
Ability to travel (25%).
Verbal and written communication skills to effectively gather and assimilate information to document and resolve design and/or customer issues.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
This position reports to the Director of Engineering.
Very organized and methodical
Masters in Electrical Engineering is must
Power Engineering is preferred
Experience: 1-4 years is a must
