- An interest in journalism, storytelling, communications or community engagement.
- The ability to gather information from different people and turn it into clear, engaging content.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to meet agreed deadlines and work independently.
- An interest in sustainability, climate action or community projects is an advantage.

What will you be doing?
What do you need the volunteer to do?
- Gather updates from EcoCounts volunteers, project leads and events.
- Write a clear, engaging weekly newsletter for volunteers and participants.
- Produce a monthly public newsletter highlighting key projects and achievements.
- Turn sustainability projects, events and community activities into interesting stories.
- Work with the EcoCounts team to collect information from different people and present it in a consistent style.
- Help celebrate successes, improve communication and keep volunteers informed and connected.
- Attend occasional EcoCounts Monday meetings (or work remotely) to better understand our projects and community.
