Regenerative Agriculture Innovation & Impact EU Lead
About Earthworm
Earthworm is a group of people who believes we can solve the big issues affecting people and nature today. We work in global supply chains impacting millions of people and places around the world to make the products we buy. We work on the ground, in forests, fields and factories, helping companies, farmers and communities find practical solutions together. And we know that, ultimately, trust and positive changes comes from people getting to work together, hands in the soil.
Your Role:
As Regenerative Agriculture Innovation & Impact Lead for Europe, you will play a key role in shaping how Earthworm designs, measures and demonstrates the impact of regenerative agriculture programmes across the region.
Strengthen our methodology and evidence base
You will lead the evolution of our farm assessment and evidence-generation approaches, making them both scientifically robust and practical to implement. This includes simplifying how programme performance is assessed, defining clear project measurement frameworks, and ensuring a consistent approach across countries while respecting the realities of local farming systems. You will also coordinate our Scientific Committee and maintain alignment with recognised frameworks such as the SAI Platform and the GHG Protocol.
Drive innovation through partnerships
Working closely with research institutes, technical partners and start-ups, you will identify emerging topics that can shape the future of regenerative agriculture, from water resource preservation to territorial resilience. You will turn these opportunities into innovation projects, oversee the innovation portfolio, and ensure that new approaches and findings can be effectively integrated into our programmes and communicated to funding partners.
Turn data into insights and action
You will help make our farm data more accessible and useful across the organisation. By developing simple yet robust analytical methods and tools, you will enable project teams to better understand farm progress and the practices that drive positive outcomes. You will also transform complex analyses into compelling stories, visuals and insights for farmers, companies, funders and colleagues.
Build capability and represent Earthworm externally
You will contribute to strengthening technical expertise across Earthworm by training project teams, supporting the development of farmer advisory approaches, and leading a small team of subject-matter experts. As a recognised voice on regenerative agriculture, you will represent Earthworm in industry and scientific forums, including SAI Platform working groups, advisory boards and key sector events.
Your Profile:
You are passionate about solving real-world challenges in agriculture and translating scientific knowledge into practical solutions that create lasting impact. With a strong understanding of arable and mixed crop-livestock systems across Europe, you combine technical expertise with a clear appreciation of how farms operate in practice. You bring a well-informed perspective on regenerative agriculture and know how to turn complex concepts into actionable approaches that can be applied in the field.
Comfortable working with data, statistics and evidence, you are able to identify meaningful trends, present results clearly and adapt your message to a variety of audiences. Whether engaging with farmers, researchers, commercial partners or project teams, you make technical topics accessible and relevant, building understanding and trust along the way.
You enjoy leading projects from concept to delivery and have experience coordinating multi-partner initiatives involving research organisations and scientific experts. Above all, you are motivated by the opportunity to generate positive outcomes for both people and the planet. You bring a proactive, collaborative and empathetic approach to your work, and any experience leading or coaching a small team would be an added advantage.
