Risk Manager | Offshore Wind | Freelance Contract


EarthStream Global is supporting a leading renewable energy client in the search for an experienced Risk Manager to join a major offshore wind programme.


Location: Hamburg

Contract Duration: 31 August 2026 - 30 August 2027

Contract Type: Freelance


This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of multiple offshore wind projects, supporting activities through bidding, FID, design, manufacturing, and construction phases.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all project Risk and Opportunity Management activities across the programme.
  • Identify, assess, mitigate, and escalate project risks to senior leadership, including Project Steering Committees and Finance Directors.
  • Facilitate risk workshops, stress testing sessions, and scenario planning exercises.
  • Deliver QRA outputs, contingency assessments, and business case assurance activities.
  • Maintain project risk registers and ensure accurate monthly reporting of risk exposure.


Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Project Risk Management within offshore wind, offshore construction, or major infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Offshore Wind Development and Construction.
  • Proven experience with QRA, SRA, SAFRAN, and Active Risk Manager.
  • Experience conducting Schedule Risk Analysis, Stress Testing, and Pre-Mortem workshops.
  • Ability to communicate risk exposure and project contingency requirements to board-level and senior project stakeholders.
