Spring 2026 Planned Giving Marketing Internship
Earthjustice’s Planned Giving team is accepting applications for one part-time marketing intern for spring 2026. We are seeking undergraduate students in their junior or senior year and graduate students who share a passion for justice and a healthy environment. This is a paid position, and the successful candidate may work remotely within the U.S. or on a hybrid schedule from one of Earthjustice’s offices.

The internship is ideal for students looking to gain experience in nonprofit marketing, communications strategy, and project coordination.

Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Senior Communications Specialist, the intern will:
- Support the development and production of two national direct marketing campaigns, from concept to launch.
- Assist with campaign project management, content creation, editing, and proofreading.
- Help design a new welcome package and stewardship series for select legacy donors.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, strategy meetings, and performance evaluations of planned giving marketing.
- Contribute to audience segmentation and message targeting efforts.
- Help collect, refine, and analyze key performance metrics related to Earthjustice’s Planned Giving marketing efforts over the past five years.
- Assist in maintaining campaign records, timelines, and marketing materials in shared workspaces (e.g., Monday.com).
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a college/university program as a junior or senior or in a graduate program during spring 2026. Fields of study in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or a related discipline are preferred.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to clarity, accuracy, and tone.
- Demonstrated interest in nonprofit work, social justice, or environmental advocacy.
- Ability to collaborate in a professional, cross-functional environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and comfort navigating online project management tools.
- Commitment of at least 20 hours per week.
Compensation:
Interns at Earthjustice receive an hourly rate that is considered taxable income. The spring ’26 hourly rate for undergraduate students is $19.18 and for graduate students is $27.39.
