Solar Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical abilities, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery backup systems while ensuring excellent communication and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair issues with photovoltaic (PV) systems.
• Diagnose and repair issues with solar battery backup systems.
• Perform diagnostic site visits; clearly document and communicate findings.
• Conduct panel detaches and resets as required.
• Replace inverters as part of service programs.
• Document installed equipment across multiple sites.
• Represent the company during AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) inspections, addressing and resolving issues raised.
• Review monitoring portals regularly for alerts or issues requiring attention.

Requirements

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Strict adherence to all safety protocols and procedures on job sites.
• Willingness to travel for assignments and occasionally stay overnight.
• Comfortable working on rooftops and ground-mounted systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly document and communicate work performed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in solar PV installation, service, or maintenance.
• Familiarity with solar inverters, battery storage systems, and monitoring software.
• OSHA training or other safety certifications.
• Electrical or technical trade background.
