Role Overview:
The Founder’s Office is the nerve center of the company. As an Associate/Chief of Staff, you will work directly with the Founder & CEO, acting as a force multiplier across strategy, operations, communications, and special projects. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role ideal for an exceptional generalist who thrives in ambiguity and wants to see how a high-growth company is built from the inside.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Support
- Partner with the Founder to refine company strategy, prepare board decks, and track progress against OKRs.
- Conduct deep-dive research and analysis on new markets, competitors, product opportunities, and fundraising landscapes.
- Synthesize complex information into clear, actionable memos and presentations.
- Operational Excellence
- Own special projects end-to-end (e.g., launching a new initiative, structuring a partnership, planning off-sites).
- Identify bottlenecks across departments and implement process improvements.
- Act as a liaison between the Founder and leadership team to ensure alignment and follow-through.
- Communications & Stakeholder Management
- Draft internal announcements, external blog posts, investor updates, and speaking notes.
- Manage inbound requests to the Founder and prioritize effectively.
- Coordinate with PR, marketing, and community teams for key announcements.
- Fundraising & Investor Relations
- Support diligence processes, update data rooms, and prepare materials for fundraising rounds.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective investors.
- Culture & People
- Help shape and reinforce company culture through events, rituals, and internal comms.
- Occasionally support high-priority recruiting efforts for critical roles.
Who You Are:
- 2–6 years of experience in high-performance environments (top-tier consulting, investment banking, private equity, other startups, or Founder’s Office/Chief of Staff roles).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication—able to distill complexity into clarity.
- Strong analytical horsepower; comfortable with spreadsheets, dashboards, and turning data into insights.
- Bias for action: you get things done quickly and thoroughly.
- Low ego, high empathy; able to influence without authority.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid context-switching.
- Genuine excitement about our mission and the zero-to-one journey.
Bonus Points:
- Prior startup experience (especially Series A–C).
- Technical background or ability to speak fluently with engineers.
- Experience in [relevant industry, e.g., climate tech, fintech, AI].
- Founder or early-employee experience at a high-growth company.
