E-CUBE Strategy Consultants is a strategy consulting firm exclusively dedicated to energy, mobility, and climate challenges. Founded in 2009, E-CUBE has grown to approximately 50 consultants based in Paris, London, Brussels, and Lausanne, and is experiencing rapid growth.
We support the executive management of large corporations, mid-sized enterprises, public institutions, and start-ups in addressing their strategic issues:
- Strategy and due diligence: market studies, competitive and regulatory benchmarks, strategic and commercial due diligence.
- Organization and performance: transformation programs related to decarbonization challenges, asset management plans, adaptation of procurement policies to climate issues.
- Sustainable innovation: decarbonization roadmaps, corporate venturing, launching innovative and sustainable business models.
We operate in the following domains:
- Energy & Environment: renewable energy, storage, electricity, gas, heating & cooling networks, nuclear, hydrogen, biogas, CCUS, energy efficiency, water & waste.
- Mobility & Infrastructure: low-carbon transport, rail and airport infrastructure, charging infrastructure (EVSE), as well as business models (mobility-as-a-service, carpooling, market liberalization, smart grids, etc.).

E-CUBE’s London office
E-CUBE’s London is our newest office. The office was opened in 2024 to serve our existing UK client base and to deploy our European capabilities within the UK market. Chris Warnes, our UK MD, has over 20 year experience within the UK energy market and is looking to build the team to support our growing business. We operate a pooled staffing model with our Paris team, so you can expect to collaborate frequently with colleagues from our other offices.
Role:
As a Consultant at E-CUBE, your role will be to:
- Conduct Market Studies: You will be responsible for researching data, analysing trends, and synthesizing information to provide comprehensive market insights.
- Perform Techno-Economic Modelling: You will create and use models to evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of projects.
- Conduct Competitive Interviews: You will gather insights through interviews with key stakeholders and competitors to understand industry practices, competitive strategies, and market positioning.
- Participate Actively in Internal Brainstorming Sessions: You will engage in collaborative brainstorming meetings with your project team to generate ideas, solve problems, and develop innovative solutions for clients.
- Conduct Benchmarks and Strategic Analysis: You will perform benchmarking studies to compare business practices, performance metrics, and strategic approaches with industry standards.
- Lead Drafting of key sections of the Final Report: You will lead preparation of key sections of the final report.
- Manage and guide more junior analysts: Oversee junior consultants/analysts, including setting required analysis, checking of results and on the job coaching
- Participate in Client Meetings: You will be involved in presenting findings, discussing strategies, and addressing client queries during meetings.
- Support BD efforts within the UK market
Profile:
You are the candidate we need if you:
- Have at least 2 years of experience, ideally in management consulting or a similar strategic role
- Are interested in the energy, mobility, or infrastructure sector and its decarbonization challenges, but experience within the sector is not a requirement
- Possess strong analytical and synthesis skills
- Have strong communication skills
- Enjoy intellectual challenge and teamwork
- Wish to join a dynamic, young and growing organisation working on key issues.
- Have a high class science, engineering or business degree from a leading university
- You currently have the right to work in the UK and are fluent in English
- Our expectation is that you are able to work in our Holborn offices for a minimum of 3 days a week
Salary:
We offer a base salary in the range £55-70k, dependent on experience, with a competitive overall package.
