REAP are seeking a hard-working colleague to deliver energy advice to clients throughout Moray via home visits, schools, workshops, phone and face to face appointments. The Energy Adviser will help clients who are referred to our service to understand their energy usage, tackle energy bills access grants and refer on to other services where appropriate. Working with our database & Microsoft Office 365 for reporting and data collection.
Applicants are required to have their City and Guilds Energy Awareness Certificate, or to agree to undertake this week-long training within 1 month of starting the post. Training costs will be paid for by REAP.

Job Description

- Providing energy advice and information by phone, home visits and at information sessions
- Deliver a focused youth climate engagement in Moray secondary schools with the aim of supporting young people to better understand climate change and energy use, while encouraging practical action within schools, homes and communities.
- Liaising with other agencies working with individuals, schools and groups across Moray to deliver outreach and mobile sessions and home visits
- Taking referrals and completing project paperwork in line with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) & REAP policies and procedures
- Community engagement & promotional work
- Working as part of the REAP team
- Referring participants to relevant agencies where appropriate
- Carrying out monitoring, evaluation and reporting duties
Salary: £24,952 pro rata

Person Specification
- Customer service experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Strong presentation abilities
- Valid driver's license for driving requirements
- Prior experience in energy advice role is a plus but not a necessity
- Fluency in English and IT skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Good knowledge of fuel poverty and energy advice support
