Solar Design Engineer (Electrical / Renewable Energy) – Australian Projects

DTSYS Tech LLP provides dedicated engineering teams to solar and battery companies in Australia. We are growing for upcoming client roles and want to hear from design engineers with solar and battery experience.
You will work full time as part of an Australian client's engineering team, handling their solar PV and battery design work day to day.
What you will do
• Design solar PV and battery systems for commercial and residential projects
• Prepare single line diagrams, cable schedules, bills of materials and design documentation
• Size batteries and inverters and configure hybrid systems
• Carry out cable sizing, voltage drop, earthing, protection and fault calculations
• Prepare grid connection applications and supporting documents
• Work directly with the client's engineers and project team
What we are looking for
• Degree or master's in Electrical, Renewable Energy or a related engineering field
• [3–5] years of solar PV design experience, including battery storage projects
• Strong electrical fundamentals: AC/DC cable sizing, voltage drop, load assessment, earthing and protection
• Working knowledge of LV distribution: switchboards, circuit breakers, isolators, surge protection and metering
• Good AutoCAD skills; PVsyst, HelioScope, OpenSolar or similar
• Knowledge of Australian standards (AS/NZS 3000, 5033, 4777) is an advantage; we train engineers with a strong design background
• Clear written and spoken English
• Accurate, reliable and comfortable working to deadlines
