Government partnerships facilitate connections between public institutions across Southeast Asia and Australia to share knowledge and build policy and technical capability between trusted peers. Through deeper collaboration, governments can tackle shared challenges and create enduring, inclusive opportunities for economies, the climate and our diverse and vibrant communities.
SEAG2G provides resources to deepen and broaden relationships between Australian and Southeast Asian countries across four thematic priorities:
SEAG2G is led by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Office of Southeast Asia, with DT Global as the managing contractor. The program works across Australia and Southeast Asia.

The Role
The Operations Manager, under the direction of the Head of Operations and Regional Representative, ensures effective provision of program operational services for the delivery of SEAG2G. The Operations Manager supports efficient and effective systems and processes in human resource management, financial management and reporting, logistics and administration, procurement (including tenders and supplier management), asset management, and IT. The Operations Manager ensures compliance with SEAG2G, DT Global and DFAT policy requirements, including but not limited to procurement, personnel and safeguarding.
The role will work collaboratively with the Partnerships team, the MEL & GEDSI team, Communications and Learning Coordinator, as well as DT Global and other team members and stakeholders as needed.

About You
- Tertiary qualification in management, administration, HR, or a relevant discipline is desirable.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a development program context.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage a variety of functions, including procurement, personnel management, and the day-to-day oversight of operational activities.
- Demonstrated ability to implement corporate policies and procedures, develop operational systems, and manage process improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, manage, and mitigate organisational and corporate risks.
- Highly developed inter-personal and cross-cultural skills, and both spoken and written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively as part of a dispersed team with a variety of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in applying safeguarding principles.
- Commitment to advancing gender equality, disability equity and rights, and social inclusion.
- Ability to work under pressure and, at times, meet multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of a team, including with team members in different locations, including to lean in and work across teams when required.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with multiple stakeholders and interrelate with various cultures and sectors.
- Highly developed interpersonal and cross-cultural skills and an instinct for collaboration, working within complex institutional structures.
- Ability to plan, strategise and comprehend complex situations, and solve problems with practical solutions.
