Program Background
KINETIK, the Australia-Indonesia Climate and Sustainable Infrastructure Partnership, supports Indonesia to strengthen sustainable infrastructure systems, mobilise climate-aligned investment, and advance low-emissions and climate-resilient development. Working with the Government of Indonesia (GOI) and a broad network of public and private partners, the program seeks to expand investment in sustainable infrastructure while ensuring the inclusion of local communities, particularly women, girls and people with disabilities.
KINETIK contributes to three inter-related End of Program Outcomes (EOPOs):
KINETIK is supported by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and implemented by DT Global.

The Role
The Partnerships Lead is responsible for KINETIK’s strategic partnerships, institutional engagement, and stakeholder coordination activities. The role provides technical leadership for the identification, development, implementation, and progression of partnership and institutional collaboration opportunities that support climate-resilient and inclusive development outcomes across the KINETIK portfolio.
The Lead works closely with the Head of Policy and Partnerships to support implementation of KINETIK’s policy and partnerships activities, and with sector Leads across KINETIK functions to ensure partnership approaches support end-to-end sector engagement from policy through to financing and delivery. The role maintains a strong focus on institutional coordination, stakeholder engagement, government and development partner collaboration, and strengthening enabling environments aligned with Government of Indonesia priorities and program delivery requirements.
The role engages with Government of Indonesia institutions, Australian Public Service (APS) partners (government to government (G2G) partnerships), multilateral development banks (MDBs), development finance institutions (DFIs), development partners, academic institutions, civil society organisations, and other strategic stakeholders to support institutional collaboration, partnership development, policy engagement, and coordination activities relevant to sustainable infrastructure and other climate-aligned development priorities.

About You
Essential Experience and Knowledge
- Degree in public policy, international relations, governance, economics, development studies, political science, law, or a related field; postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in partnerships, institutional engagement, stakeholder coordination, policy engagement, development cooperation, or related fields, including experience supporting institutional collaboration and strategic partnership initiatives at senior level.
- Demonstrated experience in partnership development, stakeholder engagement, institutional coordination, or development cooperation activities relevant to climate, infrastructure, financing, or sustainable development priorities.
- Experience working with Government of Indonesia institutions, Australian Government agencies and partnerships, MDBs, DFIs, government-to-government partnerships, development partners, or civil society organisations.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian governance, institutional, and development coordination contexts.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Bahasa Indonesia highly desirable (for international applicants).
- Experience with DFAT-funded programs or similar donor-funded initiatives.
- Training, accreditation, or demonstrated professional experience in partnership brokering, stakeholder engagement, collaboration facilitation, or related fields.
- Experience supporting policy reform, institutional strengthening, or partnership initiatives related to climate, infrastructure, or sustainable development.
- Experience with inclusive partnership approaches and stakeholder engagement involving women-led organisations, disability organisations, or community groups.
