Director of Procurement
We are supporting a leading Construction firm on their search for a strategic, forward-thinking Procurement Director to lead company wide purchasing excellence across multiple offices. This role focuses on implementing cost‑saving initiatives, standardizing procurement processes, and strengthening vendor partnerships. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who can evaluate new technologies, drive consistency, and support purchasing teams with best practices and formalized training.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and roll out cost‑saving procurement initiatives across all branches, ensuring measurable financial impact.
- Standardize purchasing processes, tools, and workflows to improve efficiency across multiple offices.
- Build and maintain high‑level vendor relationships; negotiate companywide pricing and contract terms.
- Oversee vendor/manufacturer rebate programs and ensure accurate tracking and maximum benefit.
- Evaluate new procurement technologies, tools, and programs to drive operational improvement.
- Serve as a resource and advisor to local purchasing teams-sharing trends, best practices, and industry insights.
- Develop and deliver training to elevate purchasing capabilities across teams with varying experience levels.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing leadership.
- Proven success implementing strategic, multi-location cost‑saving initiatives.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Experience standardizing processes within decentralized or multi‑branch organizations.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field; professional certifications a plus.
