We’re seeking a Regional Sustainable Design Leader to champion and embed sustainable design practices across a diverse portfolio—spanning aviation, data centers, education, interiors, and beyond. In this in-office role, you’ll collaborate closely with a widely respected Director of Sustainability, whose mentorship and expertise will amplify your influence and expand your reach within the sustainability field.

What You’ll Lead

🌿 Leadership & Strategy

• Guide and inspire a regional sustainability team across a wide range of project types and market sectors
• Partner with the Director of Sustainability to evolve and implement the firmwide sustainability vision
• Manage staffing, budgets, and resources to ensure excellence across sustainability-driven projects

🌿 Design & Technical Expertise

• Develop and implement holistic sustainability strategies covering energy, materials, well-being, and carbon reduction
• Lead and oversee certification processes including LEED, WELL, ENVISION , and others
• Advance climate resilience initiatives grounded in environmental science and data-driven design

🌿 Collaboration & Communication

• Integrate sustainability goals across all design phases and project teams
• Communicate strategies clearly and persuasively to clients, partners, and internal stakeholders
• Balance competing priorities with a strong sense of organization, detail, and design integrity

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Environmental Science, Planning, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 10+ years of sustainable design leadership experience across multiple sectors
• Professional credentials such as AIA, PE, CEM, and/or LEED AP
• Proficiency in sustainability tools and modeling software (e.g., Climate Studio, Pollination, Autodesk Insight, EnergyPlus )
• Proven success integrating sustainability frameworks and performance metrics into complex design processes
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and business development capabilities
• Expertise in developing climate mitigation and resilience plans at the building, campus, or city scale
