Ventures & Strategy Director
Ventures and Strategy Director- Elimini Permanent Location: Houston We are Elimini and our purpose is to remove carbon for good. Why join Elimini? As the Ventures and Strategy Director, you’ll work closely with the EVP Finance, Strategy, Partnership, M&A and Carbon Markets of Elimini to:
- Develop Carbon Elimini’s strategy to help achieve Drax Group’s goal.
- Support partnership development to achieve the objectives of the company
- Developing the Elimini strategy to support the achievement of the Elimini objectives and ensuring alignment through collaboration with Drax Group M&A & Strategy team.
- Ensuring that Elimini’s business strategy is aligned to the Drax Group corporate framework and be key point of contact for the Drax Strategy team for questions, queries and assisting in preparing Board updates on Elimini identification, negotiation, formation and long-term management of partnerships including T&S and equity partnerships that will support achievement of the Elimini targets.
- Identifying potential partnership targets which support Elimini objectives including both strategic (e.g., T&S companies, etc.) and financial (e.g., equity participants, etc.) partners.
- Managing all aspects of the negotiation process with potential partners including coordination with legal, development, Drax Group M&A & Strategy and Drax Group Finance.
- Supporting EVP with financial analysis of potential projects and presenting to the President of Elimini, Drax CEO, Drax Group Chief Financial Officer and Drax Group committees for approvals.
- Significant experience working in a corporate/commercial environment within the Energy sector, with a relevant professional qualification.
- Demonstrate your experience negotiating and structuring complex commercial agreements with various parties within a project, preferably in the energy sector.
- Experience in managing joint venture relationships with partners in energy infrastructure development projects, including pre-FID (Final Investment Decision) and post-FID activities
- Proven experience in collaborating with partners to execute development agreements.
- Proven ability to help secure funding, including internal and partners approval.
- A natural ability to present information to a wide range of stakeholders with impact and clarity; an excellent communicator able to present and influence at all levels of the organization.
- A team player with high self-awareness and the ability to adapt influencing style to build relationships and get results.
