Events and PR Executive

About the role:
As an Events and PR Executive at Drax you’ll play an important role in the team, supporting team members in their external and internal engagements, as well as providing administrative and research support, to ensure the smooth day to day running of the department.
In this role you’ll support with events and engagement, such as events coordination and organisation. You’ll develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including internal senior figures and support with proactive engagement plans.
You’ll collaborate with colleagues across Drax Group to support the effective management of external events, including managing the group event tracker, preparing briefing documents and collating event debriefs.
You’ll manage and monitor itineraries for international travel for Drax Group representation at external events.
You’ll support the coordination of our ExCom members attending large scale events such as London Climate week and support them by preparing their key notes and speaking lines with support from the team.
You’ll own the team’s administration within Maximo (financial system), including commercial and contractual administration for agencies and suppliers (PO set-up, contract administration, invoicing support and payment follow-up) whilst also supporting the PR team finances, budget and expenses with the finance team.
In between key events, you’ll support the wider team with drafting social media posts and brand & PR related projects.

Who we’re looking for:
To be successful in this role you’ll need to have:
- Experience of team coordination and events experience would be beneficial
- A proven track record of engaging with internal and external stakeholders with diverse needs and views
- The ability to build long lasting relationships with senior stakeholders across the business so they trust that your recommendations and event preparation is suitable for the event they’re attending
- An understanding of the international landscape relevant to the energy sector to decide whether events are worthwhile and meet our strategy
- A well organised and diligent approach to work - the ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks.
- Excellent written communication skills, with good attention to detail and the ability to tailor messages for senior internal and external stakeholders
