Job Summary
This role is for an Effluent Treatment & Environmental Compliance Manager responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of wastewater treatment facilities and full compliance with environmental regulations across Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories’ FTO sites. The position demands a technically skilled and compliance-driven professional with expertise in STP operations systems, hazardous waste management, statutory audits, and integrated management systems (ISO 14001, 45001, 50001). As a key contributor to environmental stewardship, this role drive legal and consent compliance, and implement programs to reduce, reuse, and recycle effluents.
" Roles & Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for ensuring plant availability and operational readiness to treat process and non-process effluents, Domestic waste water from FTO-2, and IPDO in full compliance with STP Cardinal Rules.
- You will be responsible for running the Waste Water Recycling Facility (WWRF) at maximum efficiency to achieve 100% output parameters and reduce hazardous waste generation.
- You will be responsible for reporting daily and monthly performance to top management, executing preventive maintenance activities, and ensuring continuous improvement in WWRF operations.
- You will be responsible for coordinating and preparing for customer and statutory audits, including IMS audits (ISO 14001, 45001, 50001), and ensuring full compliance with legal and consent conditions.
- You will be responsible for managing safe disposal of CFO-consented hazardous wastes (e.g., spent carbon, process residue, ETP sludge) through co-processing in cement industries and AFR channels.
- You will be responsible for identifying environmental aspects and impacts, implementing environmental programs, and promoting the reduce, reuse, and recycle concept for effluents through process monitoring.
- You will be responsible for building team capabilities through training, maintaining a full-fledged training calendar, and creating awareness on water conservation, safety, and plant operations.
- You will be responsible for coordinating with TGPCB officials to achieve 100% legal compliance, capturing and investigating near-miss incidents, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Educational Qualification
- Graduation in Science (Chemistry, Environment) / Chemical or Environment Engineering or related field is mandatory.
- Post Graduation in Environmental Management, Sustainability or related field is preferred.
- Certification in Environmental Management Systems (EMS) Lead Auditor Certification, Certified Environmental and Safety Compliance Officer (CESCO), Certificate in Environmental Social & Governance (ESG), or equivalent is preferred.

Critical Exposures
- Experience in environmental regulations in Air, Water, Hazardous Waste, Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) and statutory/regulatory compliance is desired.
- Exposure to CTOs/CTEs, Hazardous Waste Management (HWM)/Bio-medical Waste (BMW) authorizations, and inspections/audits by Pollution Control Boards (PCBs)/Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MOEF) is preferred.
- Experience in environmental risk assessments, audits, internal compliance, and CAPA closures is desired.
