About You And This Role
The Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHS&S) Regional Delivery Manager will be an integral part of the Alberta Operations EHS&S Team focused on environmental regulatory compliance.
This opportunity will support achieving the first net-zero emissions plant of its kind in the world, through leading the Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) Offset project. About You And This Role

Responsibilities
- Focus on Climate Change regulatory and reporting requirements. This scope may include existing site assets, as well as the expansion requirements due to the Dow Fort Saskatchewan Path2Zero Program.
- Lead the regulatory portfolio for the Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) Offset project, including government negotiations, management system implementation, calculations, and verifications.
- Manage other existing and new Alberta and Canadian environmental legislation and regulations applicable to Alberta Operations, interpret the requirements, and implement systems to ensure compliance.
- Collect, validate, and input data, complete emissions calculations, and write reports for internal and external compliance reporting.
- Evaluate impact of legislative/regulatory changes on Dow sites/locations, as appropriate.
- Evaluate plant changes according to regulatory requirements.
- Establish, maintain, and improve environmental regulatory work processes and documentation.
- Participate in and provide data for EHS&S audits.
- Additional responsibilities will be considered based on the successful candidate’s experience and on needs to balance the workload within the Alberta Operations EHS&S Regulatory team.
- A minimum of bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Geology, etc.)
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to complete regulatory calculations.
- A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including any type of permanent residency support.
- Professional Engineer registered with APEGA.
- Previous environmental regulatory experience.
- Chemical industrial plant experience.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Ability to work effectively across departments to achieve shared goals.
- Prioritization and adaptability: Skilled at managing changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills: Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and follow-through.
- Data management: Capable of organizing, maintaining, and leveraging data to support informed decision-making.
- Communication and relationship-building: Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and sustain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
