Nuc Innovation &Technology Strategic Adv

Nuclear Power has played an important role in meeting the world's electrical energy needs for 50+ years. And with power demand rising dramatically in the decades ahead, Nuclear Power will be indispensable in meeting the concurrent challenges of Reliability and Affordability while also limiting air pollution.

For engineers and innovators, very few industries can match Nuclear Power for its ability to offer dynamic technical challenges with long-term job security. This will be particularly true for those pathfinders who help companies like Dominion Energy identify and implement new technologies, tools, and business practices which will improve safety, reliability, and overall power production.

The Nuclear Innovation and Technology Strategic Advisor ("Advisor") is recognized as a high-level strategic expert and advisor within Dominion Energy's Nuclear division who is responsible for exploring and analyzing innovational advances. This work will embrace some of the most complex IT-related problems that will impact the direction of the business. The Advisor will proactively identify projects and then develop business, scope, risk, and prioritization case studies to include benchmarking studies. Once developed, they will drive awareness of potential new solutions across Nuclear's senior leadership team.

Further, the Advisor will lead, influence or directly manage implementation of new initiatives with a key focus on eliminating duplication of efforts between teams. For example, they will lead the collaboration between Nuclear and the IT division on AI initiatives. The Advisor identifies opportunities to streamline processes and partnerships across Dominion Energy and the Nuclear division which will enhance business value. They will define required resources, assemble project teams, assign individual responsibilities, and monitor the work of team members.

In leading key initiatives, the Advisor will be responsible for monitoring project progress and results. This work will include the development of thorough project plans to ensure deadlines and budgets are met. They will also analyze projects to identify lessons that can be leveraged to improve future initiatives.

The Advisor will provide overall guidance and advisement to business unit executive leadership on new solutions which can have significant impact on the Nuclear division's long-term strategies. In all aspects of their role, the Advisor will have to effectively navigate business and regulatory priorities/barriers.

Finally, the Advisor will be responsible for establishing and nurturing strategic internal and external business partnerships. This includes representing Dominion Energy in industry innovation initiatives (i.e. EPRI, NEI, Nuclear Business Information Council, INPO Data Science Working Group, and other specific industry groups/projects).

In all aspects of their role, the Advisor must communicate with clarity and precision. They will need to effectively build trust, rapport and influence with a wide variety of stakeholders and partners. They must never lose sight of Dominion Energy's high standards for excellence as it relates to reliability, affordability, and increasing clean energy solutions.
