As a Project Manager, Development, you'll play a key role in advancing sustainable energy solutions by leading capital projects that support growth, innovation, and the transition to a lower-carbon future.
What you'll do
You'll lead the delivery of complex capital projects from development through construction and commissioning, working closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, on budget, and to specification.
You'll manage procurement, contractors, permitting, budgets, schedules, and project risks while building strong relationships with customers, consultants, municipalities, and other stakeholders.
As a project leader, you'll drive collaboration, solve problems, and support successful project handovers that help advance our clients's sustainable energy and decarbonization goals.
What we're looking for
- 5-7 years of project management experience delivering large, complex capital projects with multiple stakeholders
- Post-secondary education in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Architectural Science, Construction Management, Operations, or a related field
- Strong experience developing and managing project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and project reporting
- Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Experience managing procurement activities, contractors, consultants, and construction execution
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong client and partner relationships
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Dynamics 365
- Knowledge of local construction regulations, permitting, and approvals processes
- Experience with on-site construction management
- Experience in district energy or thermal energy systems is considered an asset
