Research & Development Lead - Livestock Nutrition

We’re now looking for a Research & Development Lead. The role will be based on-site at our Toowoomba/Gatton Production Facility to support the development, validation, and continuous improvement of our livestock nutrition products and delivery systems.

The Opportunity:

As our Research & Development Lead, you’ll be responsible for leading livestock nutrition research, driving product development, and delivering scientifically validated outcomes that support both product performance and customer success. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our supplement range while working closely with customers, sales teams, and industry stakeholders.

What You’ll Do:

· Develop and execute livestock research projects to validate the efficacy of nutritional supplements delivered via the uDOSE^TM, ensuring evidence-based outcomes.

· Analyze and interpret data, preparing detailed reports to support research claims.

· Stay up to date with industry trends, research, and innovations in livestock nutrition.

· Design and develop new livestock supplements to be delivered through the uDOSE^TM and improve existing DIT AgTech diet supplements based on market needs and scientific insights.

· Lead product development to ensure effectiveness that will result in customer satisfaction.

· Provide nutritional advice/support to the Sales team and customers, ensuring accurate and valuable information is shared.

· Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and gather feedback for product refinement.

· Lead the livestock R&D team, fostering a culture of creativity and scientific rigor.

· Manage livestock R&D projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company objectives.

 

What You’ll Bring:

· Proven expertise in livestock nutrition and supplementation.

· Strong understanding of scientific research procedures, including experimental design, data collection, experience with statistical software (R and/or SAS or other) and analysis.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.

· Experience collaborating with external stakeholders, such as research organizations and customers.

· Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.

· Ability to develop industry networks in government, commercial and universities

· Excellent personal presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively

· A high level of computer skills

Qualifications and Licences:

· Tertiary Qualification in Animal Science (Animal Nutrition) or related disciplines

· Manual Drivers Licence
