All that we're missing is you. Apply today! About the role Reporting to the Market Area Vice President, this is a senior leadership position in Reworld's East region. This position requires the management of waste procurement and associated fuel contracting risk management strategies across a market area asset base of facilities. The Senior Director is required to develop/manage/and supervise merchant activities for company-related assets in the NJ and Metro NY market area, and as required, to assist other Market Area Directors to maximize the waste revenue opportunities in those market areas. The Senior Director is also responsible for developing and executing market area strategies that optimize asset value generation within the market. Additionally, the Senior Director will be responsible for community engagement and interaction associated with the market area. The Senior Director should possess exceptionally strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, as a significant part of the role is coordinating activities across operational, financial, legal, and business development departments. The Senior Director requires in-depth knowledge of waste markets and waste market participants gained from active work/experience in the subject area. The Senior Director must be knowledgeable about all aspects of the waste business and should have previous senior-level experience in managing market strategy, competitive analysis, financial budgeting and forecasting, developing proformas, and management of profit and loss of a business (or group of businesses). Experience in mergers & acquisitions activities in the waste management industry is also extremely beneficial, particularly in the areas of waste collection, waste transfer, and landfill operations. A significant activity is managing municipal contracting opportunities, and the Senior Director should be capable of directing a multidisciplinary team to evaluate bids and coordinate successful bid responses. The Senior Director will also need to possess strong commercial business acumen and be able to manage, negotiate, and execute contracts with both existing and prospective senior municipal and commercial clients. Critical components and skill sets required for this position include developing and executing market strategy, managing customer relations, supervisory-level management, financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as operational experience in running solid waste transfer, processing, recycling, and/or disposal facilities. This is a work-from-home opportunity with 50% regional (NJ/NY Metro) travel required. Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or business finance, preferred, but a minimum of an associate's degree or technical degree with prior business experience is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of waste industry experience
- Solid analytical and organizational skills and the ability to multitask

- Salary Midpoint - $190,000 per year.
