About the role The Loader Operator will operate front-end loaders, roll-off trucks, forklifts and other heavy equipment to push waste into the tipping pit, separate and load non-processable materials from tipping floors or pits, and transports material to various other facility buildings from the tip floor and metal storage areas. This individual will load ash into trucks from the ash building, unders/primary/secondary soils from designated storage areas, biomass material from designated building, belt and floor rejects from RTI, and ferrous processed by DMR from west bunker. This candidate will communicate with traffic control operator on tipping floor to maintain steady flow of traffic and provide code numbers of loaded material to truck drivers removing material from the site. This will include providing Reworld hauling tickets to driver prior to leaving the scale house. Performing safety and operational inspections as well as small preventive maintenance procedures daily, including pressure cleaning of the equipment assigned to this position; completing PM sheets and work orders as required. Refuels equipment when required and replenishes fluids including pollution control and regeneration equipment. Reporting unsafe conditions, accidents, or equipment malfunctions to the Operations supervisor is a requirement. This individual should be knowledgeable of the correct DOT weight requirements for OTR trucks as well as safety procedures and pre-caution for working around tipping floors and large amounts of traffic. Familiar with hazardous material, safety and environmental policies as well as spill prevention measures. Familiar with GHS (MSDS) requirements for all material pertaining to heavy equipment operations. Position Requirements: High School graduate or general education degree (GED) Six months to one year related experience and/or training in similar situation. Experienced in operating heavy equipment such as front-end loader, roll-off truck and forklift with some mechanical competency. Internal candidates must have completed qualification standards for prior position in company's line of progression. Physical Demands of the Role:
