The Waste Process Technician I (WPT I) is an entry level position responsible to safely perform the following fundamental tasks which may include the following based on individual Business Unit: off-loading inbound trucks, waste stream QA/QC, verify container count, manifest number and other relevant data needed for waste processing. Container sampling, recognizing non-conforming material, and processing of material through shredding operations, direct loading into solidification pit, LDI, etc. The WPT I is expected to have a general mechanical understanding of waste processing equipment. Specifically, via forklift, forklift attachments, hose, and valve operation. 3rd Shift 10:30 pm - 7:00 am Understand basic facility permit requirements and conduct daily activities to support all safety and compliance requirements. Operate a variety of equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, and other power tools in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA requirements. Able to off load inbound packages, liquid trucks, and containers. Process inbound material using facility and mobile equipment. Waste stream QA/QC & Lab analysis associated with receiving and shipping waste and material. Complete and submit all facility associated paperwork associated with regulatory and safety record keeping paperwork. General cleaning of facility and grounds. Must be able to operate forklifts and other power tools. Demonstrate attention to detail and time management. Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
