All that we're missing is you. Apply today! About the role The Operations Manager reports to the Facility Manager and is part of the facility's leadership team. The incumbent will be responsible for leading and fostering a safe work culture, driving plant efficiencies, talent development, and promoting an accountable work environment at the Harrisburg Energy From Waste (EfW, W2E, TTF) facility. Please note that a potential sign-on bonus of up to $ 5,000 is available. Key Responsibilities

- Effectively organize daily activities and oversee the proper and efficient daily work of all operations personnel.
- Provide guidance and oversight to maintain optimal boiler and turbine performance.
- Manage and implement established operator and technical training programs.
- Manage daily schedules and occasionally cover Shift Supervisor duties as needed.
- Ensure the plant's readiness to meet unusual situations and safe/efficient day-to-day operations.
- Proficiently inspect boilers and machinery and meet plant performance targets.
- Oversee or compile various reports at the plant and corporate levels.
- Adhere to environmental, health, and safety procedures and permit requirements.
- Broad background in plant operations, including a minimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership-level role in an industrial or power-generating facility.
- The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Engineering / Business Management. 10+ years of plant operations managerial experience will be accepted in place of a degree
- General knowledge and/or experience in industrial safety
- Experience with operating rotating and electrical generation (turbine generator) equipment.
- P&L experience preferred

- Knowledge of mass burn, coal, and biomass combustion practices.
- Knowledge of boiler water and cooling tower treatment programs.
- The ASME, QRO/CFO Certification is desirable, or you must be able to qualify for this certification within six months of employment.
- Familiarity with CMMS (PeopleSoft Asset Life Management) is ideal
- Prior experience working with lean principles, standard work, and root cause analysis
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
- Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
- Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
- Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
