Project Finance Associate-Energy Advisory (35 years) - D.C.
Job Description
This is an exceptional opportunity for a mid-level associate to join one of the most active and innovative renewable energy project finance teams in the world. The firm is known for representing major industry players—project sponsors, tax equity investors, lenders, utilities, and developers—across a full spectrum of clean energy transactions. The team leads high-stakes deals in wind, solar, storage, and other energy transition assets.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead or support project finance transactions involving renewable power and energy transition assets
Draft and negotiate key deal documents including purchase/sale agreements, tax equity investment agreements, credit agreements, and joint venture documents
Manage sophisticated clients and fast-paced timelines in complex, high-value deals
Collaborate across the firm’s top-tier energy, tax, corporate, and regulatory groups
3–5 years of experience in project finance, preferably in renewable energy or energy transition
Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating core financing documents
Excellent academic credentials from a top-tier law school
Strong written, analytical, and communication skills
Admission to the New York or Washington, D.C. Bar
Cravath-scale salary, with potential to exceed based on performance (strong majority achieved in 2024)
