About The Role

Grain to Glass Sustainability is a core part of Diageo’s end-to-end strategy and is enabled by leading digital, data and insights capabilities. It focuses on reducing the environmental impact of our value chain and supporting delivery of Diageo’s 2030 Sustainability targets through data-driven insights and reporting across our connected supply chain.

As a Sustainability Research & Insights Specialist - Environmental Data, you will play a key role in supporting the Global Procurement and Grain to Glass teams by developing research, insights and analytics that inform sustainability strategy and decision-making. Working closely with sustainability leads across the business, you will provide carbon modelling, data baselining, market insights and global benchmarking to support more sustainable supply chain choices.

This role will also help build and manage a strong analytics and data repository to support Diageo’s sustainability strategy and long-term climate action ambitions.

In This Role You Will

  • Support strategy and roadmap development across key Climate Action pillars including carbon, regenerative agriculture, water stewardship, zero waste to landfill and circular packaging
  • Model and report sustainability metrics across the Diageo group, including Scope 3 carbon emissions and sustainable packaging KPIs
  • Partner with global procurement teams (packaging, raw materials, manufacturing services, logistics, indirects and marketing) to understand sustainability data requirements and challenges
  • Provide data-driven insights to help procurement teams reduce carbon footprint and support strategy deployment
  • Conduct research, benchmarking and market analysis to understand emerging sustainability trends and peer activity
  • Work with Digital & Technology teams to improve sustainability data, systems and reporting capabilities
  • Build business cases, sustainability heatmaps and scenario modelling to support strategic decision-making
  • Support funding and innovation opportunities across areas such as regenerative agriculture, carbon reduction, water efficiency and circular packaging

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how sustainability data and insights drive real environmental impact across Diageo’s global value chain.

  • A curious attitude with strong analytical thinking and attention to detail

If your experience doesn’t perfectly match every requirement but you’re excited about the opportunity to help drive sustainability through data and insights, we’d still love to hear from you.
