Sr Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
We’re seeking a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in HVAC and MEP design for complex commercial and mission-critical facilities. This role focuses on developing innovative, energy-efficient systems for chilled water, hot water, steam, and BAS-controlled environments. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise and proven project leadership skills in large-scale building design.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and documentation of HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial and mission-critical buildings.
- Produce construction drawings and system layouts using Revit, AutoCAD, and related design tools.
- Perform load calculations and system analysis with Trace 700 to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Coordinate with cross-discipline engineering teams to integrate HVAC solutions into overall MEP designs.
- Oversee system commissioning, including chilled water, hot water, and steam system performance validation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required.
- 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in HVAC and MEP design.
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and mechanical design software.
- Strong understanding of BAS systems and their integration into commercial buildings.
- Proven experience designing chilled water, hot water, and steam systems.
- Familiarity with load calculation methods and energy analysis tools such as Trace 700.
- Mission-critical facility design experience a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
