Economic Development & Programmes Support Officer (2 posts)

You will be working within the Economic Development and Programmes Team whose remit includes responsibility for the effective delivery of key economic and sustainability programmes; Economic Growth, Healthy Communities, Climate Change & Sustainability and Social & Economic Inclusion. Key areas of focus for the team includes business support, delivery of key regeneration schemes, town centre development, promotion of visitor economy, health, sustainability and climate change, policy and strategy development and programme management of external funding.
The role will assist with a range of duties which includes undertaking monitoring, preparing claims, research, production of reports, funding applications and arranging reimbursements. To also support the promotion and delivery of the activities, engaging with a range of public stakeholders, businesses, residents, departments and partner agencies to ensure successful delivery.

- IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, e-mail and the Internet
- Interpersonal skills, able to explain complex information in an accessible way
- Experience of devising, implementing, monitoring and evaluating administrative systems
- Ability to engage with a range of businesses, organisations and local residents, patiently empathising with their needs in an approachable and flexible manner.
