In this Solutions Operations Manager role, you will focus on ensuring the activities and processes that Delta engages in to deliver our products and services meet customer requirements and achieve business objectives. The position ensures smooth execution of projects by managing various tasks, facilitating communication, and coordinating resources, all while supporting the project manager and the project team. Operations Management • Manage customer NDA and financial qualification processes • Streamline parts setup to improve accuracy and reduce lead times in procurement and production Vendor management O Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers and subcontractors, focusing on reliability, quality, costs, and compliance O Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts to secure the best value while managing risk Process Improvements • Optimize sourcing strategies to reduce cost and lead time while maintaining quality • Manage product development needs MRO, floor stock, and prototyping/sampling requirements Production & Inventory Management • Maintain accurate and reliable demand forecasts for operational planning • Work closely with engineering, construction, and project management teams to align inventory with production needs • Customer Management • Manage customer RFQs • Develop and maintain a status dashboard and update stakeholders weekly on assigned project responsibilities. • Manage testing and verification documentation Strategic planning & execution O Aligning operations with business strategy Business and Technical Acumen Solid understanding of engineering products, materials, and specifications. Familiarity with systems and software for business related functions such as procurement, inventory, and contract management. Risk & Compliance Management O Ability to identify and mitigate supply chain risks. O Ensures compliance with local/international regulations and internal policies. Process Improvements Production & Inventory Management o Optimize order quantity, safety stock, and reorder point calculations O Aligns operations with organizational strategy to drive long-term performance and competitiveness. O Uses data-driven decision making to guide planning, solve problems, and optimize outcomes. O Optimizes resource utilization (people, machines, materials) for maximum throughput and minimal cost. O Executes production planning and scheduling with agility to meet customer and business requirements. O Monitors and controls inventory levels to balance availability, working capital, and storage costs. Leverages ERP/MRP and digital tools to manage inventory, production, and performance data. O Works cross-functionally with supply chain, procurement, finance, and sales to synchronize operations. Customer and Quality Focus O Prioritizes customer needs in production and service delivery decisions. O Responds swiftly to service or product issues, minimizing impact and protecting brand reputation. O Strong ability to align operations with business strategy and long-term goals. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement Production & Inventory Planning O Expertise in production scheduling, capacity planning, and resource allocation. O Command of inventory control techniques to minimize waste and avoid shortages. Data-Driven Decision Making O Effective in working with supply chain, procurement, quality, finance, and commercial teams to ensure end-to-end operational alignment. O Understanding of ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools. • Highly focused on outcomes such as cost reduction, lead time improvement, service level performance, and customer satisfaction. Operations Management o Ensure production, service delivery, and fulfillment targets are met. o Develop and implement operational strategies that align with overall business objectives. o Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational efficiency, quality, and cost. • Process Improvement o Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to contribute ideas and solutions. • Production & Inventory Management o Manage production planning and scheduling to meet demand while optimizing labor, equipment, and material use. o Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring optimal stock levels, accuracy, and minimal carrying costs. o Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components. • o Work closely with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, R&D, and Quality to ensure alignment of operations with business needs. o Drive cross-functional projects and participate in strategic planning to enhance operational capability. • Customer Focus o Respond to customer concerns related to operations, production delays, or inventory issues, and lead resolution efforts. O Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (required). O Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or higher) O PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent, if managing large projects O ISO, GMP, or other quality/regulatory certifications (industry-specific) O 5+ years of progressive experience in operations, manufacturing, production planning, or supply chain management. O Demonstrated success leading process improvement initiatives with measurable results. O Experience in managing inventory systems, production workflows, and quality control processes. Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; familiarity with BI tools a plus. Familiarity with supply chain principles, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization models. O Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. O Results-driven, with a focus on operational efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
