Warehouse Team Lead - Inventory and Production Line (Bi-Lingual Preferred)

About the role:
The Warehouse Team Lead for Inventory and Production Line Support is responsible for managing the flow of materials to and from the production floor. This role ensures the accurate and timely delivery of raw materials and components to support manufacturing operations while maintaining precise inventory control. The Team Lead will supervise a small team, conduct cycle counts, and serve as the main point of contact for any material-related issues on the production line.
Key responsibilities:
- Inventory Control:
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods in the warehouse and on the production floor.
- Lead and perform daily cycle counts and physical inventories to reconcile discrepancies and investigate root causes.
- Monitor material expiration dates and manage the disposition of damaged or obsolete inventory.
- Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track material movements and maintain data integrity.
- Production Line Support:
- Oversee the kitting and staging of materials for specific production orders.
- Coordinate the timely delivery of components to the production line to prevent downtime or delays.
- Manage the return of unused materials and finished products from the production line back to the warehouse.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the warehouse and the production teams, addressing material shortages or quality issues promptly.
- Team Leadership & Training:
- Supervise and assign daily tasks to a small team of material handlers and inventory clerks.
- Train new team members on inventory procedures, safety protocols, and the use of equipment like forklifts and scanners.
- Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to ensure team members meet productivity and accuracy targets.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience:
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or lead role, with a strong focus on inventory management or production support.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanners is required.
- Forklift certification and experience operating a forklift or other material handling equipment.
- Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong understanding of inventory control principles.
- Proactive and skilled at problem-solving, with the ability to respond quickly to production needs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment.
